AMONG HIGH LANDS

Antonio Marras’ Pre-Fall 2025 collection, "Tra Terre Alte" (Among High Lands), unfolds as a visual narrative of cultural exploration and transformation. Rooted in the mountainous landscapes of Sardinia’s Gennargentu and extending into the Balkans, the collection tells the story of Antona, a fictional traveler whose journey bridges heritage and new encounters.

The collection is inspired by a childhood memory—a small, intricately patterned hat hanging in Antona’s grandparents’ home. Its origins remained a mystery until adulthood when she discovered it was a gift from her grandfather’s friend, a relic of an unknown past. Intrigued, Antona set out on a journey eastward, tracing the story behind the hat, immersing herself in different traditions, and adapting to the customs of those she met along the way. This spirit of curiosity and transformation is woven into the very fabric of the collection, which merges the familiar with the foreign, the past with the present.

Antonio Marras' Pre-Fall 2025 emerges as a tapestry of interwoven elements—delicate embroidery, precious trimmings, swaying tassels, and vibrant prints that speak to a fusion of cultures. Bold layering and intricate fabric combinations evoke a sense of movement and evolution, mirroring Antona’s evolving identity throughout her journey.

Masculine fabrics—pinstripes, houndstooth, Prince of Wales checks, and herringbone—bring a sense of structure and history, while lighter feminine materials such as jacquards, romantic lace, ethereal voiles, and scarf-inspired prints add fluidity and grace. The contrast between these elements reflects the harmony found in cultural intersections, where tradition is both preserved and reimagined.

Color plays a central role in conveying the emotional landscape of Antona’s journey. Earthy tones dominate—deep chocolate brown, warm camel, and rich coffee—infused with unexpected bursts of kiwi green and macaron pink, offering a sense of playfulness and surprise. Prints transition seamlessly from off-white to deep burgundy, golden mustard to shades of green and powder blue, culminating in a spectrum of pinks that mirror the sentiments woven into each piece.

Antonio Marras' Pre-Fall 2025 is more than a collection; it is a dialogue between past and present, a visual and tactile exploration of identity, memory, and cultural exchange. Through its rich textures, dynamic contrasts, and evocative palette, it invites the wearer to embark on their own journey—one of discovery, adaptation, and personal storytelling.
