Inspired by the beauty and diversity of the natural world, the collection celebrates the House's centuries-old craftsmanship, transformable jewellery and exceptional gemstones, reaffirming Chaumet's place among the leading names in Parisian high jewellery.
During Haute Couture Week, while Paris celebrates the highest expression of fashion craftsmanship, another form of artistry quietly unfolds behind the doors of 12 Place Vendôme. This is the historic home of Chaumet, one of France's oldest jewelry maisons, where the House welcomes guests into its elegant salons overlooking the iconic square to discover its newest High Jewellery creations.
Stepping inside feels less like entering a boutique and more like visiting a private Parisian residence. The grand salons, ornate interiors and sweeping views across Place Vendôme create an atmosphere of understated luxury, allowing every piece to be appreciated in an intimate setting far removed from the pace of Fashion Week outside.
Founded in 1780 by Marie-Étienne Nitot, Chaumet became the official jeweler to Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Joséphine, establishing a legacy that continues to define the maison today. For nearly 250 years, nature has remained one of Chaumet's greatest inspirations. Flowers, leaves, grains, branches and botanical forms have become signatures of the House, interpreted with remarkable precision through exceptional gemstones and intricate craftsmanship.
Its latest High Jewellery collection, A Journey Through Nature, continues that tradition. Comprising 46 unique creations, the collection explores nature through plants, flowers and precious spices from around the world. Emeralds, sapphires, rubies, spinels, aquamarines and diamonds recreate not only colours and textures but also the movement and vitality of the natural world.
One detail that became immediately apparent during the presentation was how quickly collectors had embraced the collection. According to the Chaumet team, a significant number of the pieces had already been acquired by private clients before the presentation. Several jewels were therefore no longer available to view, their places thoughtfully marked with photographs showing the creations that had already found new homes.
It was a subtle reminder that these extraordinary works are not simply exhibition pieces—they are destined to be worn and collected.
