As the sun set over Villa di Maiano in Fiesole, Florence, Marine Serre's fashion show unfolded in a captivating display of creativity during Pitti Uomo fashion week. The serene gardens, reflecting the golden hues of twilight, provided a picturesque backdrop for the designer's first show outside Paris.

The evening began with an experimental Italian sound, performed live by an orchestra, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Mirrored seats dotted the green labyrinth garden, reflecting the sunset and guiding guests along a path that offered breathtaking views of Florence below. This setting perfectly framed Serre’s debut of her menswear collection alongside her renowned womenswear and couture pieces.

Serre’s show, titled "Sempre Legati," meaning "Always Connected," highlighted her commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship. The collection featured tailored pieces crafted from upcycled materials, embodying her artisanal processes. The garments, inspired by the historical and cinematic allure of Villa di Maiano, showcased Serre’s dedication to both form and function.

The runway presented a mix 49 looks, blending menswear, womenswear, and couture. Each piece told a story of regeneration and creativity. Crinolines paired with vintage jewelry tops, shopper bags transformed into dresses, and tennis racket holders reimagined as gowns all exemplified Serre’s artistic ingenuity. The collection also featured regenerated jeans with leather elements and vintage silk scarves encased in transparent mesh dresses, creating a magical floating effect.

Marine Serre partnered with the iconic ballet craftsmanship brand Repetto. This collaboration celebrated shared values: the elegance of movement, a commitment to sustainability, and a seamless blend of heritage and modernity. The delicate ballet shoes added a graceful touch to the show, enhancing the overall aesthetic with their refined elegance.

Serre also collaborated with Cuoio di Toscana, who created a unique invitation for the event: a passport holder designed to conceal guests’ nationalities, symbolizing the idea of "citizens of the world." This concept aligned perfectly with the show’s title, "Sempre Legati" , emphasizing unity and the breaking down of cultural boundaries.

The show concluded with eight white outfits, symbolizing peace and unity, a poignant message that resonated deeply with the audience. As the models walked, they represented a diverse range of nationalities and identities, embodying Serre's vision of inclusivity and global connection.

Marine Serre’s first venture outside Paris was a resounding success, blending the historic charm of Villa di Maiano with her forward-thinking designs. The evening was a testament to her ability to create fashion that is not only visually stunning but also ethically and environmentally conscious. Under the Tuscan sunset, Serre’s message of love, peace, and sustainability shone brightly, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.
