''The collection is a reflex of Galib Gassanoff and Luca Lin double personalities, hidden within and only visible through a glance on a reflecting surface: a glass, a mirror or water. This elusive element is part of the SS20 show as it is a strong symbol of freedom and purity in both Chinese and Azerbaijani cultures, the desi- gners’ parental origin countries. As brand mission Act N°1 wants to stand up for those girls and women whose voices have been lost in public: this show is about reflecting one’s true self and inner strength. New hybrid items become a focus in the collection: shirts and sweatshirts graced by ruffled tulle skirts and dresses, tops merging shirts\T-shirts\sweatshirts, new sweatshirts blended with silk georgette dresses. Sleeves taken from traditional Chinese robes are fitted to contemporary shirts and ruffled jackets. Evening dres- ses and wedding gowns have been deconstructed and stitched as decorations on shirts and sweatshirts. A volume overdose: maxi sleeves on trenches, jackets and wrap dresses. Skirts with crinoline used to add volume. Oriental landscapes, watercolour peonies and tigers are digitally printed on vi- scose jacquard and silk satin. Ostrich feather details. Fringed fil-coupe jacquard is hand embroidered with chains and crystal beads. For the first time, the brand is presenting a collection of accessories debuting at the show, small evening bags built with metal wire and glass beads – recovered from vintage archives - hand assembled at the Act N°1 Atelier in Milan.'' ~ACT N1
